Cake and Crayons

Thank you for looking at my card collection! I had the idea for Cake and Crayons during 2020 after the birth of my second daughter and during a national lockdown. I began to do much more illustration work as a way of unwinding and connecting to myself, and I was inspired by being at home so much with my toddler and baby. My greetings cards were launched in 2021 when I made a Christmas collection, including a card for the Children’s Hospital to raise money for the charity. The cards all sold extremely well. I was also selected as one of the winners for the Sainsbury’s Black History Month competition and my birthday card was stocked in 26 Sainsbury’s stores around the country.

I put a lot of energy and passion into my designs; it is my ambition to create a card company that champions diversity in the children’s greetings card sector and that offers fun, vibrant illustrative cards. 

My cards are all made with the environment in mind and printed on FSC approved recyclable 300gsm paper. Each one comes with a recycled kraft envelope. My cards are ‘naked’ and come nested, without any plastic or wrapping.
