National Stationery Week Partnership

Dec 17, 2013 | News & Insights

The GCA is delighted to partner with Get Britain Writing and National Stationery Week to promote the benefits of handwriting for people of all ages.

The Greeting Card Association is delighted to support this important campaign to encourage more people to put pen to paper and not just use keyboard communication.” says Sharon Little, Chief Executive of the GCA.  “It has been proven that handwriting is important in child development and helps with thinking, ideas, language and working memory. There is also no better form of emotional communication – in adult life, sending a handwritten card is one of the most important tools for showing we care about the people we love.

The campaign works with schools and colleges, retailers, card and stationery suppliers and National Stationery Week runs from Monday 31 March – Sunday 6 April 2014.

See www.nationalstationeryweek.com and www.getbritainwriting.com for further details of how to take part.
