The GCA linked up with PGLive to collect and deliver cards from the greeting card industry for HM The Queen on the occasion of her Platinum Jubilee.
This is a fantastic opportunity to raise the profile of our world-leading industry and ensure that HM receives a special postbag of wonderful cards from our industry.
Collecting the Cards!
GCA members were asked to design and write their card for The Queen and post in to the GCA. Many were then shared on social media and then all were displayed at PGLive for everyone to see.
Ohh Deer and Woodmansterne also kindly donated additional cards for visitors to PGLive to write their own card, these were then added to greeting card Industry postbag for Her Majesty.
Delivering the Cards to HM
GCA’s Amanda Fergusson and Adriana Lovesy met at supplier member the London Chamber of Commerce to collate the cards before taking them to Buckingham Palace.
The cards were sent with a letter from the GCA, congratulating HM and also highlighting the importance of the UK greeting card industry. GCA CEO Amanda Fergusson also included details of the GCA’s Thinking of You Week Platinum Jubilee initiative to link UK school children with schools in the Commonwealth country of Ghana, see blog for more details and the latest information on this exciting project.
