Jan 26, 2023 | News & Insights

GCA CEO Amanda Fergusson attended the annual Trade Association Winter Event at Stationers’ Hall.

This Stationers’ Company event brings together trade associations linked to the communications, printing and media industries.

Held at Stationers Hall, the trade association leaders heard from speaker John Arnold about the current political landscape. John shared advice and tips for working with government both now and looking forward into the next parliament.

Discussions included relations with the EU, Amanda raised the issues on EU VAT being felt in the greeting card industry. This was affecting others in the room too and is currently being reviewed by the government as part of their on-going discussions with the EU.

Extended Producer Responsibility , the new regulations that will apply to all UK organisations that handle and supply packaging, was also discussed. This is the link to the government website to check if you need to report packaging data .
