Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year marks the start of the traditional Chinese Calendar. It’s sometimes called the Lunar New Year or the Spring festival. It’s the most important holiday in the Chinese calendar, which is a lunar based calendar, hence why the dates change each year.

Chinese New Year is fast becoming a major festival in the UK and also a popular card sending occasion! It’s one of the first celebrations after the Gregorian New Year, and a welcome break from the January blues.

GCA member Davora, the specialist Greeting Card publisher has published a Chinese New Year cheat sheet to provide a quick overview of what the festival is all about and what it could mean to greeting card retailers.
