Greeting Card Association (GCA)
Remote (occasional UK events) | Approx. 1 day per week | Freelance / Sub-contractor

The Greeting Card Association (GCA) is the UK trade body for the greeting card industry. We promote and champion card sending, helping people feel more connected through cards.

We’re looking for a freelance graphic designer to support our marketing and social media with engaging, on-brand creative.

The Role

Working closely with the Marketing & Events Co-ordinator, you’ll create high-quality visual assets across social, digital and campaign activity. This includes social media posts, templates, light animation, newsletter and website graphics, plus artwork for key industry events and campaigns such as PG Live, Harrogate Home & Gift, Top Drawer and Spring/Autumn Fair.

You’ll also provide social media support, including scheduling posts, updating Instagram highlights and creating reusable templates to keep content consistent.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Excellent typography, layout and visual hierarchy
  • Confident working to brand guidelines
  • Experience exporting for digital and social channels
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
  • Reliable, organised and able to meet deadlines

Desirable:

  • Experience with campaigns, events or membership organisations
  • Basic motion or animation skills
  • Understanding of what performs well on social

Practical Details

  • Freelance sub-contractor role
  • one day per week (hours may vary seasonally)
  • You’ll use your own equipment and software
  • All work produced will be owned by the GCA
