Emma Young

Emma Young is Managing Director of Paperlink, where she has spent the past three decades, starting out in production and design and working her way through pretty much every corner of the business along the way.

Before greeting cards, Emma’s background included silk screen printing, fashion and textiles, so creativity has always been a big part of her working life. These days, her real strength lies in the operational side of a creative business, bringing people, ideas and processes together and generally working out how to make things happen. She has been MD of Paperlink for the past five years.

Thirty years on, Emma still genuinely loves cards and the brilliantly creative world that surrounds them. More than anything, though, it’s the people that have kept her in the industry for so long. “ I love the warmth, openness and sense of community within greeting cards and am delighted to be joining the GCA Council and to have the opportunity to give something back to an industry that has given me so much.”
