Seth Woodmansterne

GCA Council - Council Member
Company: Woodmansterne Publications

Seth is Managing Director of Woodmansterne, a third-generation publishing business, started in 1953. Paul, his father, was a founder member of the GCA Council.

Seth has a degree in History of Art and joined the business somewhat unexpectedly in 2011. Starting on the Production Shop Floor, his passion for galvanising a successful team led to back-to-back wins as PrintWeek’s Social Stationery Printer of the Year in 2015 and 2016. More recently, he has been learning and helping coordinate the different aspects of the business, and completed a planned transition from Paul in 2020.

Woodmansterne works with the very best talent and licence partners to create a varied and multi award-winning panoply of greeting cards. It also acts as a broker publisher, working with many other British publishers to supply a complete card solution for retailers such as John Lewis, Waitrose, and many leading Garden Centres in the UK.

“I have always been struck by how friendly our industry is, and how fortunate we are to create a product that helps people show they care. I’m honoured to be asked to join the GCA council, and will strive to aid the industry as we tackle the social, commercial and environmental challenges of our time.
