Ricicle’s owner David Nichols-Rice went along to his local Girl guiding group to run a Card Club session with the Brownies. The 24 girls aged between 7-10 years old were working towards their ‘Kindness’ badge, and one of the example activities to earn their badge was creating a greeting card to send to someone.


The evening began by asking each Brownie how they might show kindness to someone, and luckily, one of the girls mentioned that it might be nice to send a card to someone who wasn’t feeling very well.
After that lucky and well-thought-out start, David, the Brown Owl leader, Helen, and the other leaders sat down with these energetic young ladies to talk about what a greeting card is and the reasons why they might send one beyond just a birthday card.


Then, they all got to work on digging through the colouring pens, stickers, gems, and lots of other colourful materials to decorate their cards and envelopes.
