Christmas Cards on the BBC

The GCA gained some excellent television coverage for Christmas cards and the greeting card industry yesterday. Sharon Little, GCA CEO, took part in three live interviews with Stephanie McGovern, two on BBC Breakfast and one on the BBC News Channel.

Sharon commented, “It’s been a busy time for the GCA, I’ve been taking part in lots of radio interviews since the beginning of December and this was the icing on the Christmas cake! It’s great to get the message across that the UK is the greeting card capital of the world and that we buy and send more cards per person than any other nation. The British public buys around about a billion Christmas cards each year, so this is a Great British tradition that is very much alive and well.’

Greetings Today covered and recorded the first interview for its online magazine

The second two interviews are now live on the GCA’s YouTube channel GCAClips.

That evening Sharon also later took part in a fun interview on Mark Forest’s BBC Radio programme, which goes out across the local radio stations across England and the Channel Isles. She is also due to appear on BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme this Saturday morning (20th December).
