Encore Packaging Group are a new supplier member to the GCA and recent entrants to the Greeting Card envelope market. We had a chat with the Business Development Manager, Peter Edwards to find out more about this intriguing company.
How long have you been a GCA Member?
Just 1 week! We’re the new kids on the block, and from what we’ve learned through our research, we really excited to be moving into this space.
What services do you provide that would be of interest to GCA members?
We’ve been a supplier of print and packaging solutions for many years; in fact we’re the UK’s largest manufacturer of printed envelopes! Now we want to turn our expertise to envelopes for greeting cards, and hopefully shake things up a bit.
From our purpose built factory in the North East, we manufacture and supply envelopes in standard and bespoke sizes, and in an array of colours, and we’re flexible on quantities too.
We also manufacture bespoke packaging using corrugate/solid board with both litho and flexo print processes and we have full BRC AA accreditation (for food hygine). What this means is that we can meet any packaging needs including food packaging.
We’re not just about manufacturing though, we can help with design too. We have a dedicated Overprint School of Excellence based in West Yorkshire, with litho and digital capabilities.
Are there any innovations in your field that you want to share?
As the UK’s largest envelope manufacturer we are delighted to announce the new launch of our Greeting Card Envelope Range. This allows us to diversify into the greetings market and offer a fresh service driven approach to envelope requirements.
Our company is built on continuous innovation principles. The Encore Group continues to invest significantly so that we can continue servicing a wide range of markets including Gift, Healthcare and Beauty, and of course Greeting Cards.
Who would you like to meet at the GCA Conference?
We would love to meet publishers of all sizes to discuss their envelope needs and hopefully build some mutually beneficial relationships.
